Tarte - Kind Is The New Pretty Contour Palette Review
Hello again! Today I am going to be reviewing the Tarte Kind Is The New Pretty Palette, in terms if pigmentation, what skin tone it would be best suited for, and overall quality. This palette seems as though its the perfect little travel contour kit, so let's put it to the test.
The packaging on this is very pretty and it feels very sturdy, however I can't base this review on packaging alone.
The highlighter is a pearl shade called Angel, it is very pretty and easy to blend however it does have a bit of fallout, that doesn't bother me much since its glitter and it falls in the general area it should be, but I know that might bother some people, this is relatively creamy however you can feel it has a slight texture. This shade would look good on all skin tones I think personally.
The blush is called Gracious, and the best way I can describe it is a BRIGHT coral colour, on my fair pale skin with cool undertones I find this looks a bit odd, however if I blend it enough I can make it work. I think this blush is better suited for deep skin tones or medium skin tones with warm or neutral undertones.
The contour shade is called Thoughtful, this shade can be a tad patchy however it can be built up easily, it is very creamy and blendable. This is definitely a warm toned orange ish contour and this doesn't work well on cool skin tones at all, nor light or fair skin tones in general this was definitely more targeted at the medium skin tone range with warm undertones.
Overall I can't fault the palette for being not the right shades for my skin, the photos online seem to look much cooler toned to me, but I can wear and pull of the highlighter so I'm not complaining.
I rate this a 3/5
