Tarte - Energy Noir Eye & Cheek Palette Review

Happy New Year! Hope all is well with everyone, today I am going to be writing a review of the Tarte Energy Noir Palette that I grabbed as a part of their friends & family sale.

First off sorry about the smudges on the palette this type of cover grabs finger prints like crazy, which to me is honestly a huge annoyance 

 This is what the shades look like when you open up the palette, I have to say online they looked much nicer and it seemed more like a palette I would get a lot of use out of.

So lets start with this review, I have to say I am not overly impressed with this palette. The mattes are very chalky which I do not like, and the shimmers however very pigmented have A LOT of fallout. I am not keen on the shadows at all in this palette and the highlighter is just okay. The only thing I really care for is the blush. 

The swatches on this palette are very deceiving as on the eyes most of the shadows do not come anywhere close to looking the same. The blush does however have the same amount of colour payoff as does the highlighter which is just not my cup of tea.

You guys know that typically I do not have many complaints with my reviews however pigmentation, the texture and fallout are huge factors in deciding whether I like something or not and this palette just really missed the mark. That is not to say I dislike tarte as a brand! I love so many of their other products and a few other palettes as well, if you've been wondering whether to buy this since it is so discounted I would have to say to take a pass on it.
